The last fundraising events of the 2015 were held the week before Christmas.

Thanks to the support of the many holders of the St Cross Saver account, the Friends of St Cross have received another massive donation from Coventry Building Society.


Rugby’s brand new blood-taking unit is now open to patients, thanks to an outstanding appeal by the Friends of St Cross and the people of Rugby.

The Friends of St Cross has recently donated a video capture device for use in Ophthalmic Surgery at the hospital.


Over six hundred people packed the Temple Speech Room of Rugby School on the evening of Thursday 29th October.

Avon Timber of Coventry held a corporate golf day in aid of the Friends Diamond Jubilee Appeal and raised a magnificent £4,500. 

Staff at the Orchard Centre have recently taken delivery of a hover mattress donated by the Friends of St Cross.

The Rugby Group Benevolent Fund has donated a massive £20,000 to take the total received by the Appeal to over £108,000. 


Another donation recently received was £200 from the Asda Foundation which resulted from the in-store ballot.

Rugby Rokeby Lions Club raised £1,000 for the Appeal through a sponsored walk at Draycote Water and recently presented a cheque to representatives of the charity and the hospital.


Another example of community support was when the Ladies Prayer Group at the Rugby Indian Association in Edward Street recently invited Joan Jesson and Heather Green, the President and Chairperson of the Friends of St Cross,  to one of their meetings 

Volunteers at the Day Surgery Help Desk are often asked if they know where staff or patients can find a wheelchair to help patients get around the hospital.
