Veteran volunteer invited to Battle of Britain commemorations
Mary Lock is a member of the Civil Defence Association (CDA) and she is believed to be the only surviving member of the association from Coventry and as such, she was invited to St Paul’s Cathedral to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the Battle of Britain.
Tea Bar Volunteers
Maureen West and Sally Bishop have been volunteers with the Friends of St Cross for over fifteen years and are due to be recognised for this at the Charity’s AGM in June 2015. Like so many of our volunteers they regard the work they do as a way of giving back to the hospital which has done so much for them and their families.
Help Desk volunteers
Two Help Desk volunteers who have completed fifteen years service with the Friends of St Cross are to be recognised at the Charity’s AGM in June 2015. They join a group of thirty others who have reached this milestone and are still volunteering at the hospital!
Fundraising volunteers
Two of the Friends Fund Raising Committee recently got together with the person who recruited them to celebrate the 15th anniversary of them joining the Charity.
